Benthem Crouwel Architects

Benthem Crouwel is an international, multidisciplinary architectural firm that employs its 30 years' experience to devise innovative solutions. Its architecture is characterised by functionality, flexibility and efficiency. Benthem and Crouwel run the branches in Amsterdam and Aachen and work on highly diverse projects on all scales in association with the other partners Marcel Blom, Joost Vos and Marten Wassmann. From complex infrastructure projects and public buildings with huge visitor numbers to information desks and the colour of an interior. Museums, shopping centres, universities, concert halls, residential and care complexes, urban studies and master-plans are all designed with the same degree of passion. Examples of their work include the 87,000 m² Amsterdam RAI exhibition and conference centre, the redevelopment of all the large stations in the Randstad, the Stedelijk Museum Amsterdam and Amsterdam Schiphol Airport. The designs embody their fascination for solving complex problems just like the attention afforded to the smallest detail. Expertise, creativity and innovation go hand in hand.
