The people who make Koninklijke Tichelaar - Selim

In this column we introduce 'The people who make Koninklijke Tichelaar'. From the salesmen to those in the factory: they all have their share in the magnificent projects we develop.
 
Since 2019 Selim works for Koninklijke Tichelaar. As cooperating foreman, he leads a team at our Ridge Tile Department. They are responsible for producing tiles that are placed on thatched roofs. An essential element in sustaining the quality of the roof. But there is more. His team also presses tiles out of clay that are applied on façades. A process that starts with just clay. This is then pressed into a strip and subsequently into the predefined form. But before being a usable tile, the formed clay needs to be dried, glazed and fired.
 
In his four years of working at Koninklijke Tichelaar, many of these tiles went through Selim’s hand. The varied design of the tiles is what makes working for Koninklijke Tichelaar challenging and exciting, as Selim states. But also, the task to get the most out of his team is something why he would like to work for Koninklijke Tichelaar for many more years. His passion and enthusiasm make him a valuable member of our organization.
