The Amsterdam architectural firm Arons and Gelauff have been nominated for the prestigious Brick Award 2019. The nomination applies to the use of the glazed stone strips in the façade of the Pontsteiger in Amsterdam. The glazes are specially developed and produced for this project by Koninklijke Tichelaar in Makkum.

The Brick Award is an international established award and presents outstanding brick architecture. The Brick Awards are awarded annually by the Brick Development Association in various categories to architects who have applied masonry and derived products in a special way in their designs.
Arons and Gelauff have been nominated in the category Worldwide. The award ceremony will take place at the Royal Lancaster London on Wednesday 13th November 2019.
